About SizeMe

SizeMe is a size recommendation and size guide tool for online clothing and shoe stores. Shoppers enter one or more body measurements (chest, waist, hip), and SizeMe compares them against each product's measured garment data with its Size Simulator to recommend a size and show how it will fit. The Finnish company installs as a Shopify app or WooCommerce plugin and charges a commission only on purchases made using a recommendation.

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Uses real body measurements rather than height/weight estimates, which can be off by several sizes
  • Commission-only pricing means no cost unless the tool drives a sale
  • SizeMe handles product measurement data entry for the merchant
  • Generates product-specific size guides automatically
  • Developed with Aalto University and backed by published retailer case studies (Halti, Makia)
  • Can be rolled out gradually, product by product

Cons

  • Requires garment measurements for every product before recommendations activate
  • Shoppers must measure themselves, which adds friction compared with quiz-based fit tools
  • Commission rate is not published; you have to contact sales
  • Small team (under 10 employees) with a mostly Nordic customer base
  • No public reviews on the Shopify App Store, and the WooCommerce plugin was last updated about two years ago

Key Features

Measurement-based size recommendations

Recommends a size by comparing the shopper's actual body measurements against the product's garment measurements instead of estimating from height and weight. Works with a minimum of one measurement.

Size Simulator

Virtually fits each product against a set of standardized virtual bodies, accounting for garment type, wearing layer, and stretch value.

Product-specific size guides

Automatically generates a true-to-product size guide from each item's measurements, replacing generic size charts.

Fit visualization widget

Shows on the product page how the chosen size fits at key body points; the UI inherits store fonts and colors and offers several display options.

Remembered measurements

Saves a shopper's measurements so returning customers get recommendations without re-entering them.

Analytics and insights

Collects customer and product sizing data and turns it into analytics on fit and sizing for the merchant.

Managed measurement data

SizeMe accepts product measurements in any format and handles product classification and data entry at no extra cost.

Shopify and WooCommerce integrations

Ready-made Shopify app and WooCommerce plugin; Shopify installs track SizeMe-assisted purchases and bill commission automatically.

Multilingual widget

The Shopify app supports English, Finnish, Swedish, German, Arabic, Spanish, Estonian, Persian, and Japanese.
