FlamingText
Free online logo maker and text effect generator
About FlamingText
FlamingText is a browser-based text image generator that turns a word or name into a styled logo or graphic in seconds. You pick from hundreds of logo styles and fonts, change text, colors, and background, then download a PNG with a transparent background. It is free for personal and academic use, and paid plans add a commercial licence, no watermark, no ads, and the multi-style LogoMaker.
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Free tier needs no registration and covers every logo style and font for personal and academic projects
- Generates a styled text logo in seconds from just a word or name
- Paid plans are cheap, with a $24 one-time option if you need only one commercial logo
- Commercial licence is perpetual and royalty-free, covering merchandise, ads, and client work
- Long-running service (since 1999) with an animator, 3D logos, and a multi-style LogoMaker
- 30-day money-back guarantee on all paid plans
Cons
- Free tier is heavily ad-supported, with display ads and sponsored links throughout the interface
- Free logos cannot be used commercially; any business use needs a paid licence
- Logos are text-effect templates, so other users can create identical or similar designs and uniqueness isn't guaranteed
- Output is text-centric raster imagery, not a full brand identity or icon-based logo designer
- Interface and many styles look dated compared to modern design tools
