Cuez
Cloud-based newsroom, rundown, and automation software for live productions
About Cuez
Cuez (formerly TinkerList) is a browser-based suite for planning and running live TV, radio, streaming, and event productions. Teams write scripts and rundowns together in real time, trigger studio equipment from the rundown with the no-code Automator, and run a story-centric newsroom with Storydesk. It is built by a Leuven, Belgium company founded by former TV director Erik Hauters.
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Script and rundown live in one synchronized document, so editorial and technical crews never work from different versions
- Fully browser-based with no installs, which suits remote and distributed productions
- Automator drives a wide range of broadcast gear from the rundown without writing code, enabling one-operator shows
- MOS Connector and Blockz let ENPS and iNEWS newsrooms adopt Cuez automation without replacing their NRCS
- Storydesk supports any LLM, keeping AI-assisted newsroom work on the customer's own model and data
- Used by broadcasters such as ITN and Proximus Media House as well as universities and esports producers
Cons
- No public pricing; every plan requires a demo and a sales quote
- Built for broadcast and live-event teams, so it is overkill for simple podcast or webinar run-of-show needs
- Prompter and some other modules are sold separately from the core rundown
- Automator setup still requires familiarity with studio hardware and device APIs
- Few public user reviews on major software review sites
Key Features
Cloud Script & Rundown
Combines the script and running order into one synchronized Episode that every team member edits live in the browser, with episode templates, reusable content blocks, and media embedded in the script.
Timing controls
Shows On Air/Off Air times, estimated durations, and block-level timings so producers can track whether a live or recorded show is running on time.
Cuez Automator
No-code control layer that turns rundown items into timed triggers for playout servers, graphics engines, switchers, PTZ cameras, audio, and lighting via open API.
Storydesk NRCS
Story-centric newsroom system with wire and RSS aggregation, assignment desk, built-in team chat, media placeholders, and multi-channel publishing to web, social, and linear.
Bring-your-own LLM
Storydesk ranks incoming stories, suggests edits, fact-checks, and adjusts tone using the language model of the customer's choice, so newsroom data stays under their control.
Cuez Prompter
Browser-based teleprompter that syncs word for word with the Episode on any device, controllable by keyboard, Stream Deck, presenter, or ShuttleXpress jog wheel (add-on module).
Blockz and MOS Connector
Lets newsrooms on ENPS, iNEWS, or another MOS-based NRCS use Cuez Automator and a shared library of automation templates without migrating systems.
Browz media connector
Searches, previews, and inserts assets from multiple MAMs, watch folders, and local storage directly inside the rundown, with proxy-aware file handling.
Public read-only links
Shares an always-current, read-only version of an Episode with people outside the project instead of static PDFs or printouts.
Broad hardware and software integrations
Connects to vMix, TriCaster, CasparCG, Vizrt, Ross XPression, Chyron, EVS, Blackmagic Design, OBS, Avid, Grass Valley AMPP, Panasonic and Sony PTZ, and more.
Pricing
- Quote-based licensing via sales demo
- Cloud Script & Rundown
- Automator and Storydesk available as part of the Cuez Suite
- Prompter offered as a separate add-on module
- Help Center and in-app chat support
